The year 2025 marks a significant milestone in Almanity Hoi An Resort & Spa’s journey toward sustainable and responsible tourism. Building on the commitments established in 2024, Almanity has further strengthened its sustainability governance, improved environmental performance, and enhanced positive contributions to the local community.

Compared with 2024, key indicators related to energy consumption, water usage, and solid waste generation show a clear improvement trend, demonstrating continuous efforts in resource management, operational efficiency, and staff engagement.

II. GOVERNANCE & COMMITMENT

Almanity maintains a sustainability governance system aligned with Travelife standards, where the Executive Management provides strategic direction while operational departments are responsible for implementation and monitoring.

Key policies focus on: - Efficient use of natural resources - Reduction of emissions and waste - Respect for human and labor rights - Priority for local sourcing and community support

III. ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE

1. Energy

Total energy consumption in 2025 reached 1,405,358 kWh, representing an approximate 20% reduction compared to 2024 (1,761,513 kWh). This improvement results from operational optimization with a 500kWh of Solar from August 2025, increased energy-awareness among staff and guests, and seasonal operational adjustments.

2. Water

Total water consumption in 2025 was 21,222 m³, a decrease from 24,478 m³ in 2024. Leak control, partial water reuse in technical operations, and internal awareness campaigns significantly contributed to this outcome.

3. Solid Waste

Solid waste generated in 2025 totaled 71,876 kg, down from 76,306 kg in 2024. Almanity continued waste segregation at source, reduced single-use plastics, and collaborated with responsible local waste collectors.

IV. SOCIAL & COMMUNITY RESPONSIBILITY

Almanity prioritizes local employment, collaborates with suppliers from Hoi An and Da Nang, and actively participates in cultural preservation and community support initiatives. Internal training programs empower employees to understand their role in sustainable tourism development.

V. 2025 VS 2024 & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT

Compared to 2024, Almanity achieved significant improvements in environmental efficiency while maintaining service quality and guest experience. These results form a solid foundation for further advancement under Travelife standards in the coming years.

VI. FUTURE COMMITMENT

Almanity is committed to further investing in environmentally friendly technologies, staff training, and deeper collaboration with the local community to contribute positively to the sustainable development of tourism in Hoi An.

VII. TRAVELIFE AUDIT ALIGNMENT

1. Sustainability Management System (SMS)

Almanity has established a Sustainability Management System with clear roles and responsibilities from Executive Management to operational departments. Environmental indicators (energy, water, waste) are monitored regularly, documented, and used for performance evaluation.

2. Environmental Protection

Environmental impact mitigation measures are consistently implemented, demonstrated by reduced resource consumption in 2025 compared with 2024. Almanity meets Travelife criteria on energy efficiency, water management, and waste reduction.

3. Labor & Human Rights

Almanity fully complies with Vietnamese labor regulations, ensuring safe, fair, and non-discriminatory working conditions. Employees receive regular training on safety, service quality, and sustainability awareness.

4. Community & Local Economy

Local procurement and employment contribute to economic value creation for the Hoi An community. Almanity maintains positive partnerships with local suppliers and community initiatives.

VIII. ACTION PLAN & CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT 2026
